Amazon is going to keep 100% of the profit on those purchases, unless you’re selling a specific product that they clicked on. The affiliate will get nothing on that second sale or repeat sale that they initially sent to the company.
That is how the majority of affiliate marketing programs on the Internet have been designed. They want the affiliates to promote their companies and get paid one-time for the sale and hopefully attract more affiliates to promote their company for free. How many people posted videos that earned very little, but might have referred people to Youtube that created channels that have created millions or even billions of views for the company?
The company serves up advertising that they revenue share with the producer of the videos, but what does the person who brought that other channel to the company get? Nothing.
